Château Clair de Lune
A romantic name and at the end of a graveled avenue, a reality to match any dream. Situated in Biarritz, this 19th century manor house is tucked away in a park full of roses, magnolia and rhododendron. The perfect place to sample the peaceful Basque way of life. The bedrooms in the hunting lodge have a terrace and a contemporary design, while those in the manor have lovely old-fashioned bathrooms and a turn of the century charm. 
Ornaments, engravings and 18th century furniture in the reception rooms… add to that, paths, terraces and fountains in the relaxing garden, and the picture is complete.
The feel of the place is a little like staying in a French aunt’s chateau, whilst the aunt is away. There is limited service – but what there is is friendly and efficient. Everything is spotlessly clean and every room is different, all having wonderful high ceilings, huge windows and large beds. The Château has nice en suite bathrooms along with imaginative and comfortable decor throughout.
Château Clair de Lune isn’t really a hotel, more a wonderful B&B in which you feel free to roam around as you wish, stay in bed all day if you want and enjoy the wonderful building and great gardens. There is a great pool for you to enjoy and next door to the Château, one of the best restaurants in the region. It is a simple and peaceful place to stay with fifteen spacious rooms all with en suite bathrooms. The Château has a lovely warmth to it and clients return here year after year to enjoy it’s ambiance.
