Château De Brindos

Built in the 1930s, the Chateau de Brindos, is set in tranquil surroundings around a secluded private lake some three kilometers from the town of Anglet and five kilometers from the beaches of Biarritz. The Hotel has recently acquired 5 star status, which clearly speaks volumes for the ambition of its current owner, the ex French Rugby star and now legendary figure in France … Serge Blanco.

With a facade inspired vaguely by the architecture of Spain, and an interior with architectural remnants such as fireplaces and staircases from the Gothic age, this is one of the the most romantic stopovers on the Côte Basque. Everything has been at the Chateau has been designed to ensure a high level of service and quality. The hotel comprises 30 traditional guest rooms decorated in soft shades with wooden floors. Guests can revitalize with a sauna and steam, enjoy a scenic stroll along the lake, or relax by the pool. Traditional French dishes are served at the Restaurant du Chateau, which also offers picturesque views of the lake … very romantic.

A great place to stay though it is more than a good par 5 away from the centre of Biarritz. The Chateau is near to Biarritz Airport which means it is only a five minute taxi journey to all that this chic town has to offer. A tranquil and very pleasant place to stay. Serge really knew what he was doing when he invested in the Chateau and the result of his hard work will not disappoint anyone who visits there.
