This fantastic hotel is situated in Hossegor about 40 minutes north by car from Biarritz. Within 25 kilometers minutes there are three of the best golf courses in “Les Landes” all of which we strongly feature on this website. Les Hortensias lies on the lakeside with soothing views across the water to a pine clad hills opposite. It is about 200 yards from the great beach and the superb world class surf that Hossegor is very well renowned for.
The current owners have embraced a calming Feng Sui philosophy throughout the establishment which results in restful colours of yellow, beige, white and chocolate being used. The rooms have either a terrace or a balcony. Our clients are immediately won over at the first sight of the Hotel, which has a well appointed lounge bar with it’s plush sofas and a reading area. Just outside of course is the deep blue swimming pool .. very inviting.
Les Hortensias du Lac has a private beach overlooking the salt water lake, where you can sit and and enjoy this oasis of calm. Hire a sailing dingy, try your hand at windsurfing, take a bike ride and make the most of the flat ground around Hossegor. Wander into town and experience some superb gourmet seafood restaurants and the lively ambiance that is Hossegor. A great alternative to staying in Biarritz.
