Golf d'Hossegor

North of Biarritz by about forty minutes and a real cracker. Historic Hossegor, completed in 1930, winds itself through avenues of trees and is full of dog leg holes and tight fairways which are ined with heather. It is similar to a lot of inland courses to be found around the West of London and out into Surrey, like Wentworth and Sunningdale.
Hossegor

Its absolutely timeless in its appearance and ambiance. Quite different from some of the more hilly courses we have described on this website, as it is essentially flat and uncomplicated. The course is built on sandy soils, which means that it remains in superb condition throughout the year and it plays to the eye, just as you see it. If your game is plagued by a slice or hook at the moment, forget about your score and just enjoy the wonderful sights that this Hossegorcourse offers and then retire to the clubhouse to enjoy the excellent cuisine on offer. Perhaps you might like to slip out into the village of Hossegor nearby to sit and enjoy the great restaurant life and watch the world go by. Choices … choices !

Our opinion

“ Well set out with wide fairways and true greens. Lots of mature pines and cork oak trees all in a haven of peace and quiet. This is uncomplicated golf at it’s best ”
