Just to the south east of Biarritz and only a short drive in our chauffeured transport. On arrival another one of those breathless moments will be coming your way …. but this time it’s from the first tee !! Yes, more views of the stunning Pyrenees and the Basque countryside accompany you around this course which is carved through the ancient Oak trees and designed on a natural site of rolling hills and fairways
Makila is a relatively recent creation and is certainly challenging to play, in places ….. to walk as well. An American style layout designed by Rocky Roquemore that has been very well thought out. The architect must have been rubbing his hands together at the prospect of being let loose in this superb region, what with the hilly terrain and forests on hand to carve his creation through. It is a well balanced course which like other courses in the region, allows golfers of all abilities to extract maximum enjoyment. As expected there are great lunches on offer in the clubhouse overlooking the 1st and 18th holes. You would have to be asleep not to enjoy this one!!
