Golf d’Arcangues

Golf d’Arcangues is a lovely parkland golf course situated next to a charming Basque village overlooking the nearby Pyrenees Mountains and located about fifteen minutes south of Biarritz. A varied and interesting eighteen holes layout awaits you along with a newly constructed short game area. This is a very friendly and welcoming golf club which we always recommend to our clients and who always tell us that they were grateful we did.

Mountains and oak trees

The golf course is beautifully laid out on the many acres of oak trees and meadows that wind around the Chateau d’Arcangues. Take time to sit and soak up the atmosphere on the terrace outside the lovely restored 16th century clubhouse before and after your round. There are fantastic views of the Pyrenees Mountains rolling out before you.The golf course and the pervading ambiance will leave you with one of those moments that make you feel good to be alive  .. the coffee and croissant are not bad either.

A superb golfing experience

Golf d’Arcangues really delivers and is always a pleasure, especially when passing the Chateau on the 15th hole, where an imposing sideways growing pine tree awaits by the green. Opened in the early 1990’s and still under the management of the Arcangues family, the course will certainly strain your calf muscles. There is some serious undulation out there with many holes going uphill or downhill and in some cases sideways. Don’t worry though as buggies are available. The mix of tree lined and slightly more generous fairways helps to create a superb golfing experience for players of all levels. We can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t want to play here during your visit. Very attentive staff and superb ambiance. Golf d’Arcangues is very high up on our list.
